Golden sits at the base of the foothills along Clear Creek and is the Jefferson County seat. It is home to the Colorado School of Mines, a historic Washington Avenue with shops and restaurants, and the Coors brewery. Lookout Mountain, Golden Gate Canyon and miles of trails are on its doorstep.
The housing includes historic homes near downtown, mid-century neighborhoods and newer townhomes and condos, along with hillside homes with views. The W Line light rail connects Golden to downtown Denver, and I-70 and US 6 provide quick access to the mountains.
