Commerce City lies just northeast of downtown Denver and offers a mix of established neighborhoods, newer communities and industrial areas. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, a large expanse of prairie open to the public, and Dick's Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids, are local landmarks.
Housing tends to be more approachable than in closer-in neighborhoods, with a wide range of single-family homes and townhomes. Its position near I-70, I-270 and E-470 makes it convenient for reaching downtown and the airport.
